Waitangi Day in Wanganui
Waitangi Day commemorates a significant day in the history of New Zealand. It is a public holiday held each year on 6 February to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document, on that date in 1840.
On Feb 6, 2010, more than a hundred spectators gathered around Wanganui's Queens Park to participate in the celebration of Waitangi. Several vendors were also positioned to capitalize in this vibrant occasion.
A mobile band played Kiwi music which was enjoyed by the crowd.
